The expo will feature more than 100 exhibitors, including employers and educational providers.
"We are hosting the career expo again this year in partnership with the Arkansas Workforce Centers to help job seekers connect to employers and educational providers," said Department of Workforce Services Director Artee Williams. "Even with a tough job market, there are employment opportunities available. Also, this is a great time for job seekers to take advantage of educational opportunities that will make them more marketable to employers."
Ninety-eight exhibitors and more than 1,900 job seekers attended last year's expo, called the Get in the Game Career Expo.
In addition to the exhibitors, resume writing and interviewing skills workshops will be held throughout the day. Also, some employers will be interviewing onsite, so job seekers should come dressed for an interview.
In addition to the workshops, job seekers can visit the mini-Arkansas Workforce Center for additional employment assistance. The center will have 20 computers, and a mobile resource unit equipped with additional computers will be available so attendees can browse for jobs online.
Job seekers also should bring their resumes to the event. Staff at the center will be available to review resumes and provide feedback before job seekers visit with employers.
