In our THV Working for You segment, we're revealing information about the "We need to talk" program.

Joe Petruk, state coordinator for the AARP Driver Safety Program sits down with THV's Liz Massey to talk about the program.

The "We need to talk" program is a free online course that help families prepare for and initiate thoughful conversations with older drivers. AARP, The Hartford and MIT Agelab teamed up to produce the program. The seminar gives practical tips and guidance on how to recognize the warning signs and develop a plan to begin talking about driving retirement.

This program is part of AARP's Driver Safety Program. AARP has classes to help refresh your skills and you could possibly qualify for lower insurance rates.

The classroom course costs $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members. For more information you can call 1-888-AARP-NOW (1-888-227-7669)
