LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - On Wednesday (April 17), the UALR women's basketball team and head coach Joe Foley announced the addition of 5-7 point guard Di'Mond Jackson for the 2013-14 season.
"Di'Mond is a point guard who knows how to win," Foley said. "She sees the floor extremely well, gets her teammates in the right spots and is physical enough to finish around the rim.
Jackson averaged 15 points, six rebounds and five assists per game in 2012-13 for University HS in Baton Rouge, La. She led the Cubs to four District Championships and three Louisiana State Final Fours. Jackson was named All-State and District and Metro MVP in 2013.
Jackson earned All-District and All-Metro accolades all four seasons at University HS. Last summer, she was a member of the AAU squad Kenner Angels that won a national championship.
Besides her pursuits on the court, she was a member of two 4x400 State Championship Relay teams for the Cubs track and field program. Academically, she recorded a 3.5 GPA at University HS.
