Wonder Boys to Hold Open Practice at Tucker Coliseum

    RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (ATU) -The Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys basketball team will be holding an open practice for the fans on Thursday, October 24 at noon in Tucker Coliseum on Arkansas Tech's campus.

    The Wonder Boys open practice will give fans a sneak peek into the upcoming 2013-14 men's basketball season. Everyone is welcome to attend the practice and see how the team prepares for the upcoming season.

    The Wonder Boys advanced to the regional tournament for the fifth straight time last year with an 18-12 (13-7 GAC) record. Tech will return four seniors to the court this season including Kendall Pinkney, Jay Murphy, Bobby Hatchett, and the league's reigning Defensive Player of the Year in Charles Mells.

    The Wonder Boys will open their season on Friday, November 1 with an exhibition game at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas at 7 p.m. They play their first regular season game on Friday, November 8 against Lincoln University in Bolivar, Missouri at 5:30 p.m.
