SEARCY, Ark. (Harding) - Harding senior outside hitter Mollie Arnold was named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) honorable mention All-America in a release by the organization on Wednesday. It's the second straight year she has won the award.
Arnold, a native of Bono, Ark., led Harding to a 27-8 overall record and Great American Conference regular season championship with a 14-0 record. She led the GAC with 4.01 kills per set. She also averaged 3.30 digs per set. Arnold had 10 or more kills and 10 or more digs in 17 matches. Arnold also had more than 20 kills in a match nine times.
Arnold is the only Harding player that has won the award twice. Veronica Piech (2000-03) is the only other Harding player to receive the award, earning honorable mention in 2003.
The All-America teams were selected by an AVCA committee made up of 10 coaches.
