Hamden, CT (SportsNetwork.com) - Ousmane Drame finished with a game-high 23
points and 12 rebounds in leading the Quinnipiac Bobcats to a 74-64 victory
over the Saint Peter's Peacocks in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference
matinee at TD Bank Sports Center.
Zaid Hearst added 20 points and Ike Azotam recorded a double-double of his own
(16 points, 11 rebounds) for Quinnipiac (17-8, 12-4 MAAC), which has won five
straight. Drame led the team in scoring and rebounding despite fouling out in
the final minute.
Trevis Wyche paced Saint Peter's (9-16, 5-11) with 16 points. Marvin Dominique
hauled in 14 rebounds to go with 15 points and Chris Burke chipped in 12
points. The Peacocks have lost back-to-back games.
Drame netted 13 points in the first half, during which the Bobcats only hit on
38.2 percent from the floor. However, they secured 11 offensive rebounds to
claim a 31-27 lead at halftime, despite a superior shooting effort from the
Peacocks (.480) in the frame.
The Bobcats had more success after the break, shooting 66.7 percent from the
floor to pull away for the win.
Quinnipiac, which leads the nation in rebounds, won the battle of the boards
yet again (42-28). The Bobcats also owned a 40-26 edge on scoring in the
