    Maryland upsets No. 5 Virginia in OT

    College Park, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Jake Layman made some clutch free throws as the Terrapins needed overtime to upset the fifth-ranked Virginia Cavaliers by a 75-69 margin.

    It was Maryland's final regular season game in the ACC, with the Terrapins moving to the Big Ten next season.

    Layman went 4-of-4 from the foul line in the final 38.4 seconds of overtime for the Terrapins (17-14, 9-9 ACC). He ended with 10 points on 1-of-7 shooting from the field.

    Seth Allen ended with 20 points for Maryland, which had lost six straight against Virginia. Dez Wells tallied 18 points.
