FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Univ. of Ark.) - The No. 16 University of Arkansas gymnastics team (8-12-1, 3-10-1 SEC) has been selected to compete in the Oregon State NCAA Regional in Corvallis, Ore., April 4. The Razorbacks will be the third-seeded team amongst the field of six. The meet has a scheduled start time of 6 p.m. central.
"It will be a very challenging regional championship," co-head coach Mark Cook said. "I feel like we have one of the stronger draws of the regional sites. However we have been there before for the national championships and we know the area very well. It will be a great crowd there with a lot of energy. We have really been hitting our stride as of late so we have to go put up a really good score and see if we can get an upset."
The other teams selected to the regional are Georgia as the top-seed, Oregon State as the two-seed, Boise State as the fourth-seed, Cal as the fifth-seed and Arizona State as the sixth-seeded team.
