STILLWATER, Okla. (Univ. of Ark.) - A come-from-behind victory in the last match pushed the Arkansas men's tennis team ahead of No. 68 ETSU, 4-3.

Playing at the No. 2 doubles position, seniors Hall Fess and Pete Thomason recorded an easy victory over ETSU's Ordeig/Biosa, 6-1.

The Razorbacks opened singles play down by one to ETSU before sophomore Santiago Munoz jumped out to a quick victory at the No. 5 position, defeating Ismael Merino 6-3, 6-1 and giving the Razorbacks a tying point. Senior Hall Fess defeated Sebastian Yllera in the No. 3 position 6-3, 6-4 which put Arkansas on top 2-1. ETSU squeezed out wins on courts 1 and 4, putting the Bucs back on top and putting the match on the shoulders of junior Jovan Parlic and freshman Juan Marino.

After dropping the first set 2-6, Parlic rallied to win his next two 6-4, 6-4 and tie the score at three all. Marino won a decisive first set 6-2 but fell in a close second, 6-4. With ETSU's Pagon holding a 30-15, 5-4 lead, Pagon earned his third penalty point of the match, which swung the momentum back over to Marino. Marino ended up taking the third set and giving the Razorbacks the winning point.

Saturday's victory marked the first win over a ranked opponent this season for No. 58 Arkansas, moving the Razorbacks to 3-2 on the season.

Arkansas will return to action in a week, facing Wisconsin-Green Bay and the University of Minnesota on Feb. 1-2.
