LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Lightning is to blame for a house fire in Pulaski County.

Lt. Carl Minden with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office says they believe lightning started a fire at a home on the 3000 block of Jack Mann Road just after 10 p.m. Thursday.

The storms from Thursday night also caused a tree to fall onto a home in Jacksonville. Lt. Minden says the tree fell on a home on the 8000 block of W. Republican Road.

One person inside the home received minor injuries, but refused treatment. The home was deemed uninhabitable.

Lt. Minden says they do not have any road closures in the county, but there was widespread report of tree/limbs and power lines down across the county last night especially in the Hwy 300 and Hwy 365 North areas.
